- Get to know your audience

Although it is common to see, you should not just post links in your status update box. - Research what people actually want

- It is not a numbers game

Adding hundreds of followers using internet tools designed to do so will not help you in the long run, it is better to have a few potential customers than a hundred ‘nobody’s’. This is because people who do not know you will just ignore your posts. You must concentrate on improving your relations with current followers first.
