How to Use Your Natural Talent to Make Money on the Web

Anyone who has done any research on online marketing knows scams abound, no matter where you look. Unfortunately, unscrupulous marketers feed on the multitudes of inexperienced people who are looking for better lives. It’s sad, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to pursue schemes that never yield any fruit. Fortunately, methods abound for making money online without having to invest a dime. This will probably come as a revelation to those who have had run-ins with Internet scheme run by scam artists!

But sometimes one person’s scam is another person’s good opportunity. An example of this is the controversy over an Internet business opportunity named Site Build It. Some people think that one or more people have created a Site Build It review that wasn’t entirely accurate. The owner has publicly defended himself and he could be totally right. But it would be up to any potential buyer to do his or her own research.

One of the most successful ways I’ve found to make money online is totally above-board and is also pretty easy. I make money with writing. HubPages — a group blogging site –  makes it quite easy to generate content-based ad revenue. You can create as many or as few content “hubs” as you want. Each hub has the potential to make up to five forms of revenue: eBay and Amazon products and services, Google AdSense and Kontera ads, and your own affiliate link(s). You get the revenue from 60 percent of the page views that generate income and the people who own HubPages get forty percent. Affiliate programs are an exception to that rule though; One hundred percent of income generated by click-throughs from an affiliate link on a hub would belong to you. It takes a while to get good at creating money-making hubs but the money you can generate over time makes it worth it.

One of the affiliate programs I like to use on my hubs is RevResponse, because it provides credible free information for people. When people click on links to any of the RevResponse publications or White Papers and qualify, you benefit financially. It’s just that easy. The qualifying part is the catch though, so you have to understand that aspect. To learn more about the RevResponse rules, read this affiliate review. The information in the review will help you know whether RevResponse is right for your readers.

Online Marketing Writing for Beginners

If you’re a writer learning about online marketing, it can be very difficult and frustrating. But don’t get discouraged. Although there are a lot of things you’ll need to learn, taking things one step at a time will get you where you need to go. Once you get your feet wet with making money by writing for Internet marketing projects, that will get the ball rolling and it will become easier with time.

The first thing you must learn starting when you want to make money by writing is to honor your own learning process. Do whatever you have to in order to learn, be careful not to stress out. You will be far better off if you’re gentle on yourself, and you will be far more successful. Keep in mind, too, that you can and should use any available help if you get stuck. For example, the capitalization and spelling of common Internet terms doesn’t have to be memorized. Links to definitions, spelling and capitalization of important online terms are available many places online. All you have to do is bookmark a good reference and use it when the situation calls for it. If you get into a real jam, get a subscription to the Chicago Manual of Style. That will help you resolve any grammatical issues that might plague you.

But grammar, spelling and capitalization rules are only some of the concerns when you’re writing for Online marketing. You also want to keep your honesty intact. A prime demonstration of what can happen if you don’t are the fake Site Build It reviews. From what I understand, people wrote fake reviews and got them to the top of the search engines for popular keywords so they could get people to buy an overpriced package of services. That didn’t go over to well with some Internet marketers. Many people wrote reviews about the bogus reviews and a war was waged. I too wrote a review because I felt that’s what an online community member should do. In the end, it became clear that the Site Build It situation wasn’t as bad as it first looked although it’s not the biggest bargain out there. The lesson I learned was that the more you stick to good, high-integrity projects, the less likely it will be that people will pounce on you. So, if I were going to give any advice it would have to be that you should research an online project before you take it on as a writer.
